Sekali lagi, tiba masa untuk kita memperkuatkan lagi pengetahuan kita dalam Bahasa Inggeris! Kerana, bila kita mula bekerja... Bahasa Inggeris di-guna untuk semua bahan komunikasi antara satu sama lain. Jom kita ber-bahasa Inggeris!

Johnson & Johnson or better known as J&J is a reputable company with much knowledge on healthcare products and services to advance the health and well-being of people. J&J is not only all about body wash, lotions and all... but they have attributed into Facial Care and not forgetting Vision Care. Thus for this time around J&J Vision Care Malaysia, being a proud partner of the Malaysian Olympic team, has taken the initiative to care for the vision health of athletes.

In conjunction with the Beijing Olympics and J&J being one of its Worldwide Partners, J&J is using this "improving vision skills programme" that draws on the expertise of sports vision experts who also work with top flight athletes including professional baseballers in the United States. Yes, some of you may have thought that atheletes have full fledge 20/20 eye sight, well some of them don't... some do wear glasses and most wear contact lenses for their daily activities.

This time around, how would one really know which contact lenses is best for him/her for the game, how can one train his/her eyes to perform better and act faster. Well J&J has the answers for us all.

J&J continuously supports athletes globally for this Beijing 2008 Olympics Games, J&J cares for the vision health and needs of our atheletes thus providing eye screenings and vision correction and also visual acuity training using the specialised and internationally used Visual Performance Enhancement for Athletes software programme. The software helps train specific skills for specific sports such as focussing on a small distant target (shooting and archery) and peripheral vision (swimming).

I was just there for the event at Ikano Power Center recently when J&J Vision Care launched its program to educate the public about the importance of eye examinations also to introduce their programme for the athletes. For those using contact lenses, having the right power in your lenses and the right fitting lenses with the most comfortable wear MATTERS!

Having the right power in your lenses and the right fitting lenses with the most comfortable wear MATTERS! This time around J&J Vision Care tries to help atheletes globally (those who are participating in the Beijing Olympics) to train themselves with the pre-existing training programme.

J&J Vision Care are working locally with 8 Malaysian Atheletes namely Daniel Bego (swimming), Leong Mun Yee (diving), Elaine Teo & Che Chew Chan (taekwondo), Hasli Izwan Amir Hassan (pistol shooting), Cheng Chu Sian, Muhd Marbawi Sulaiman & Wan Khalmizam Wan Ab Aziz. Imagine what a better pair of
eye sights can do to our atheletes in achieving their goals and medals this olympic season!

Each athelete has been given eye screening and free daily disposable lenses (for those who wear contact lenses) and some are given advice on specialised sports optical equipment (prescribed by an optical outlet that specialises on sports eyewear). Eye health advice is given to the athletes especially relating to contact lenses. Johnson & Johnson Vision Care realises athletes are very busy and often tired so daily disposable lenses removes the need to clean lenses and avoids bacterial and chlorine contamination for athletes who swim or dive with lenses.

Let's hope for the best for our atheletes for this Beijing 2008 Olypic Games!
