Well, on tuesday 30th November 2004, myself and Xfresh CREW Bobby were invited to the exclusive premiere of Polar Express on iMAX 3D @ Times Square KL.
Although we have just watched the film in its 35mm version 2-Dimensional last week at GSC MidValley Megamall during the press screening, this was an unbelievable experience.
There's no point of me blabbering about iMAX 3D Theater over here as there is no words that could possibly explain it.
You have to experience it to believe it
So yea, it is actually called iMAX DIGI Theater, situated on the 10th floor of times square.
Well, we were allowed to choose the drinks that we wanted !! so cool !! and it was free refill.. for us la... :P press mah ! :P
Anyways, below are the photos that i took personally during the trip to the projection room of iMAX 3D and our preview of Polar Express in 3D.
This is the projector, massive!! about three times the size of the normal 35mm projector that u can find in GSC & TGV Cinemas
This is the picture of the thing that holds the two reels of films that is used to create the 3D effects. These reels of films are bigger than the normal 35mm...you will find more technical details from bobby's blog.
This is a PALM, model M130. You must be wondering why this palm is used in a projection room, well actually it is the computer that controls the speed that both reels are moving at. Both reels must be moving at the same speed so as to create the 3D effect, where both film reels must go through the projector at the same Timecode also known as TCR.
Here's Bobby with the 3D glasses provided by iMAX to be worn in the theater. Sorry, you won't be able to keep it at the end, as you will have to pass it back to them... haha...

Yes you heard me right...
Well for some of you who may not know me...I've been with Xfresh even before it was officially launched. Been a helluva long time huh...
Well, first started with hitz.fm now with Xfresh. Cool huh...
Well i am currently the Head of Online Promotions also known as the Online, Entertainment & Music / Movies Promotions (OEMP) team. Together with me i have my colleague JayJay to help me out with some of the promos...Oh yeah not to forget this lovely *CHICK* Aneesha...!
Anyways, what i do is fairly simple now (since i'm still studying and working at the same time, can't really committ too much of a time here) so yea... I'm in charge of music n movies promotions. Which means any new music Cd's of movies which comes out in Malaysia will fall on my hands first :P mwhahah... well its actually given to the content team to review for example bobby...and william.
So...why am i telling you all these?

I just realised that, what i've uploaded to this "BLOG" of mine are all...links, reviews, releases and nothing about me.
I guess BLOG is suppose to be a place where we express our views and so on...ermm...tell ya da truth i dont have the time to write all these.
why...because:
1. Im VERY BUSY! (just got home from the fishtank at 10past midnight) Was busy doing some work at the hitz.fm studio.
2. I have a lot of stories to tell, but im always tired when it come to write them down here. partly bcoz i go out more often than any1 else here. Yes...i go out everyday..spend about 120plus just on petrol for the car a week.
3. Im so tired of watching movies @ the cinema. Got so many free movie tixs, and i just watched Polar Express last week @ GSC in 2D for the press screening and watched it yesterday (tuesday) in 3D @ iMAX Theater Times Square. IT WAS AWESOME !! [expect a full review with pictures of the projector room here @ shazFX]
Anyways, enough yacking about all of the above...i'm here to tell you my 1 cent story - but i guess i'll forward that to tomorrow.

Guess what...its that time of year again...other than celebrating Xmas, Hari Raya and Deepavali we have the Malaysia Comics Carnival 2004 which is going to be held at Sungei Wang Plaza this 3rd - 5th December.

Just finished doing my 3 months worth of claims. Been doing it since 6pm and was in the office from 4pm since that doing the promotion thingy for CLB and others.

Just finished doing my 3 months worth of claims. Been doing it since 6pm and was in the office from 4pm since that doing the promotion thingy for CLB and others.
