Well, what can I say? It's been a long long time since i used to update my blog on a daily basis.
Reason being, i've been really busy lately with a friend who just came down from England, he's on a "sort of" personal own tour around the globe.
His last stop was Hong Kong, and now he's in Malaysia...
He just got down last week and yep...we've been to all over the place! It's been some fun time for the past few days...
Perhaps i'll just re-cap all about it in the photos below.
Have fun...

PS: Xfresh T-shirt...free promo...mwahhah!!!

From Left: Kevin, Felix, Shaz, Mahfuz
We were at 1Utama - brought him over to see the new wing, which is really cool. Had lunch at Arena Food Court.
(Psst...it was on a working day, and i was out for lunch for 3 hrs...)

Same location as above, just a different pose. We were a bit hyper then after having something to eat (got stuck in traffic jam...caused by BLACKOUT in Selangor, KL, etc)

From Left: Reena, Shaz, Mahfuz, Kevin, Philip.
This is the Xfresh StreetSurfers team, brought Kevin and Mahfuz over to my office (Since i just found out that Mahfuz is my neighbour [serious], so we sorta go out more often now..)

From Left: Serena C, Kevin W.
Brought Kevin over to the hitz.fm studio, showed him what my work is like, life at the office and how the studios work.

From Left: XF|Adi, Kevin, XF|julia.
These are the Xfresh FM Radio Announcers, brought Kevin to visit our studio and he loved the STUDIO although its small in size, the deco was awesome.
---------------------------------------
Now, that was what we did last Thursday...
Friday...of course la...I have work, friday prayers and more work. I actually had to go meet up with some clients on friday morning with Jay Jay (one of our Xfresh MPR CREW). First location was in KL @ Jln. Ipoh. Finished the meeting there at about noon and straightaway rushed off to Shah Alam for the other appointment. But instead,we went for lunch first at Syed Restaurant and I went for Friday Prayers at Shah Alam Mosque. Right after that went to meet up with our second client of the day, and end up at my Aunts house in Shah Alam nearby the Mosque. Had some problems at the same time, my break pads are gone! As in, "dah haus" :P So had to go back all the way to Ampang near my house, purchase the brake pads and went to a workshop to get it replaced. Then only we went back to the office, this was around 6pm :P
Enjoy the photos...

My lunch @ Syed - Shah Alam. Nasi Goreng Pattaya.

The Shah Alam mosque on a friday afternoon...

Went to my cousins house @ Shah Alam, she asked me to repair her com :P She's got a brand new HP Computer and she just need me to setup her Streamyx DSL Broadband modem la. Called Albert, and Albert tried to guide me step by step...but it didn't work.
OMG...the computer has a REMOTE control. This is the second com that i see with a remote control, guess what...I shut off the pc just with a single push of a button as far as 10meters away :P

Here's the computer, looks nice la.. but too many wires going around.

This picture was not taken at my office...This is actually the house phone at my cousin's. They have about 10 of this phone inside the entire house...why would you need this phone man!!!

Went to the workshop to replace the brakepads for my car...cost a bomb!

Tyres need to be changed soon...or else i wont have any grip on the slippery and wet road.

It cost me RM 30 to just change a set of front brake pads!!! WTF...so expensive!!!

I know this is a bit old, in fact all the entries that im about to put up from tonight onwards would be pretty OLD!
Since i've been REALLY busy to update my blog for the past week.
Just wanna make this a really nice and simple entry, Jaclyn Victor... i'm sure you all know who she is?
She's our Malaysian Idol...woohoo!!! The one with the famous hit SINGLE "Gemilang".
Her album was launched approximately 4 weeks ago, and her album launch cum press conference was last wednesday at the Poppy's Collection bar @ Jln. P.Ramlee.
It was awesome, she performed quite a few songs...which got all of us melted down to earth.
But hey, i was interviewed by 8TV Quickie Crew. hehe...saw me on TV? Give me a buzZ!!!
PS: Not really gonna say much in here about her, or write anything...really...You shoul read about it on William's BLOG.

Last tuesday, a group of Astro staffs volunteered for the Malaysian Red Cross Association in aid to the Tsunami Disaster.
By the way, that's my CAR!!!
There were 15 of us from Astro, coming from various divisions such as SMD, AMP Radio, Marketing, Corporate, Sales and many more.
We arrived on site at 9.30am, and started working our ass off till lunchtime.
Of course, lunch was provided by the association...it was ok la. It was really HOT in the afternoon, but hey, thank god we had a tent to cover us during the separation of clothes into boxes in the afternoon.
Basically, it was a whole lot of fun, we worked with people that we didn't even know (yep, even those who were from Astro - i didn't know at all.)
Been working there for the past 4 years and not know all these people who i've passed by so many times.
I think i look like Superman in this photo...
Whoa...anyways, it was cool, awesome, we get to work with other volunteers from other organisations, such as International Youth Society, Rakan Muda, Citibank, and even individual teenagers (from Damansara Utama) who just came in and lend their hands for a few hours.
We made all the boxes above, it was flat when it came, we pull them up together and sealed it.
I think i've lost quite a few KG on that day and at the same time gained the same amount (LUNCH was AWESOME).
Take a look at the pictures below, this sunday...a group of us are going down to the same place to helpout with the packing and stuffs...feel free to join us.
Lunch....
Military truck carrying some pellets.
Me busy working...
Donated clothes being separated, males, females, children, babies...
It was a lil' bit dusty at first...when we received the clothes which were packed in rugs.
Woohoo!! Nick was here !!
The Astro Volunteers...
The finished product, this is how its going to look like after we've wrapped it.
---------------------------------------
Cool Donations...
Look at what we have here, some of these people have decided to donate alot more...
Sony / Aiwa Wega TV!!! Wahh...
I wonder what they are going to do with these "PROTON" Genuine Parts in Sri Lanka / Acheh?
Someone just donated a CAR!!! Wow...it's a Peugeot some more...dun play play!

Where can you find the best satay in Kuala Lumpur?
Where can you find satay with really huge chunks of chicken / beef?
Where can you find good quality peanut sauce for satay?
Where can you find the real authentic Kajang Satay in Kuala Lumpur?
The answers to all of the above is here...
Just head your way down to somewhere near Kg. Baru in Kuala Lumpur. If you know the Menara Celcom @ KL, off Jalan Tun Razak (beneath the elevated highway) - Well, its somewhere there, nearby to the Kia Peng intersection.
It's a restaurant by the side of the main road, just beside SsangYong showroom.
---------------------------------------
Last monday, Fariz, Felix and Me got ditched for dinner...really a last minute kinda thing...
Everyone just suddenly cancelled either last minute or an hour before dinner time.
So we decided to go for what we had originally planned for the night, which is to have "Satay" at Kg. Baru...
Yummy, it was AWESOME! But they could have improved it better by cooking with slow burning fire, coz we found one or two sticks which were not cooked properly and the meat was still a lil' bit fresh.
Price is the same, RM0.50 per stick. The only thing bad about this place is "PARKING".
It's damn hard to get a parking, but if you don't mind spending a dollar or two, do park at the underground basement parking for Menara Celcom.

I know i haven't blogged much this past week and the week before. Been really busy with a whole lot of stuffs, going out here and there with friends and families.
Anyway, last sunday, I went to the zoo with 4 other friends from my previous college "APIIT".
We were there from 10am till 4pm. Whoaa, that's long. I'm not going to write much for this entry.
Basically you all know what's in the zoo, what to expect in the zoo (boring animals...)
Seriously, they look dead bored...especially the Bears and Lions / Tigers. I wonder how they feel now...living in a small closed compound only with another animal of their type in the same cage.
Here are the photos followed with captions:

The sealion at the amphitheater @ Zoo Negara Malaysia.

Monkey or was it a Chimpanzee, not sure la...

A horse...ermm :P I've always wanted a horse...or to be an equestrian.

That's my friend and I, doing the "Charlie Angels".

It can be tiring walking around the Zoo for over 4 hrs.
PS: Bring as much drinks as you can, the price for drinks there can KILL YOU.

If i'm not mistaken, these are sea otters. Really cute...wish i could have one in my house.

My friend and I again, somewher around the zoo admiring the "green".

The infamous "Orang Utan". Woohoo, these guys are some LAZY BASTARDS...some people threw food at them and they hold their hands out...but they missed it, and didn't even bother picking it up.

That's the end of our journey for today...

Nothing can beat this D.I.Y Hot Dog (Do It Yourself) from Ikea @ Damansara.
Hotdog's are becoming more and more popular amongst teenagers as a "Cheap" and "Fast" food to eat when our pocket is low on $$.
Ikea has their own "Hot Dog" from Sweden at a cheap and affordable price.
RM2.50 for a Hot Dog. Can you beat that? I know for a fact, Projet provides you with a 5" hot dog around the same price. But nahh, Ikea has this special "sweet sauce garnish" thing that you can't find anywhere else (unless you make your own la).
Anyways, here's just a short story about Ikea's Hot Dog and how good it is. Go have a try, many people say that its better than 1901 Hot Dog, some say that its the best.
What's your opinion...

As a continuation to our small "DF0111 Reunion Gathering" that afternoon, we had an early dinner at "Marche - Movenpick" which is a German restaurant, not really a "fine dining" kinda place - so no worries it will NOT burn your POCKETS.
I can't really explain much about this place in words, but of course there are alot of photos to accompany this blog entry.
But from what I can say, Marche looks "EXPENSIVE" from the outisde, even for me...a person who goes to "CHILI's" a lot, i feel like not going to "MARCHE", coz it looks DAMN expensive.
But nahh, you should go in and find out for yourself. The food there are just a little bit more expensive than those that you find in normal foodcourt. But the quality is as if you're dining in a 5 Star Hotel.
The price is very much reasonable, perhaps between RM 20 - RM 30 per person.
One plate of Pasta would cost you approx RM 14 - RM 16
One pizza would cost around RM 14 - RM 17.
Half a chicken is around RM 8 - RM 10.
There are a whole lot more for you to eat, such as Lamb, Beefsteaks, Salmon, Seafood, Salads, Hot Dogs (special german home made), Rosti, they have almost everything from Western - European - a little bit of Asian cuisine.
The concept is pretty much simple, they have a really nice combination of stalls which are very well decorated, you justh ave to order what you want and they will stamp a chop onto your "Ticket" (this is your bill to pay upon exit).
So, whatever you order, from main dish - desert - drinks, all the stamps goes here.
There's no 10% Service Charge, as everything is "Self Served".
You can choose your own garnishing, cheese and sauces. It's like being in a "Hotel" buffet line, where you can order to the chef what kind of meat you want and e.t.c...
You can even see them cook, enjoy the photos...
PS: 1 Vanilla Coke cost RM 3.50, so yea...damn expensive but the food are damn cheap. Basically they'r making a profit out of the "DRINKS" and making it an enjoyable trip for all coz the food is cheap.
Soft Drink - Carbonated Root Beer, no alcohol at all. It's just a soft drink. The drink contains Yeast and Malt, so it has this unique "Taste". But hey, its DAMN expensive. 1 of this cost RM 6.50.
Picture of the Salad Counter and Vegetables. You may select your own vege's and ask them to cook the way you want it or select from a variety of "Marche" cooking styles.

Most of you must be wondering what is "DF0111". Well, previously i was in a college doing IT. It's called APIIT (Asia Pacific Institute of Informationa Technology).
Joined the college on January 2001 and it was the first intake of the year. Being the first intake of the year and the main branch of APIIT (Central Market Branch is the second in Malaysia) therefore all the classes in Apiit Damansara (are considered main branch) therefore the class number will end with an odd number.
Hence, DF0111 -
DF - Diploma (First Year)
01 - Year 2001 (Entry)
1 - January (Intake)
1 - Damansara Branch
---------------------------------------
Which means, if there's another class in APIIT Damansara in the month of January 2001, which is after DF0111. The class would be named "DF0113". The only difference is the "3" is an "odd" number after "1". Which indicates that DF0113 is the second class (intake) of January 2001.
---------------------------------------
On January 2nd 2005, a few of DF0111 class members had a small reunion gathering at Starbucks Coffee @ The Curve. I was the class representative of this class, and of course la...had to do all the invitation. But this wasn't really an official one. It was just to meet up with some old friends / collegemates. So we only SMS a few...mostly those that we know who could make it on such a short notice.
Everyone was on a tight schedule, since now most of us are either working or completing our last year of our DEGREE programme. So only very few could make it, most of these people below are those that are very close to me since Diploma years and one very special someone too is in the photos.
Attendance List: Shaz, Fariz, Ziyad, Maman, Agung, Kevin Lim, Kevin Leng, Andrew, and Deena.
We stayed for a couple of hours talking about old stuffs, catching up with lost time and finding out who's doing what now and where.
Enjoy the photos...
That's Fariz, Agung, and Uncle Kevin. Agung has his "Just Wake Up" look. Fariz with his "LONG" Japanesio hair, and Uncle Kevin...he's the oldest amongst us all and we are his lil' nieces and nephews.
That's Kevin Leng from the left talking to Fariz and beside Fariz is Andrew in green stripes t-shirt. These guys are really into football (apart from Fariz la).
Here's Andrew and Deena. IT People...

Only read this if you have a problem in controlling your expenditure, your flow of money / cash out of your pocket / bank...

---------------------------------------
I can't help you not to spend too much, purchasing stuffs that you don't need...
Ever heard of "Its easy to do all the bad things and harder to do all the good things"
Let's translate that into FOOD LANGUAGE... which is "It's easier to eat all the junk (bad) food, and it's harder to eat all the good (healthy) food".
Well, no one can help you with your expenditure, its yourself. You buy what you want, sometimes you buy things that u don't really need.
Few weeks ago, i was bidding on this item which is a Walkie Talkie on Lelong.com.my, brand new American brand walkie talkie (professional) up to 11 Miles with Telco Network. It was running for a really cheap price, and i was bidding it like crazy. Then i realised one thing which is "What am i going to do with it once i get the walkie talkie".
The answer is...NOTHING.
I can't use it for myself, can't just talk to myself. I need someone else to talk to. But hey, I already have a hand-phone.
Anyways, I didn't buy it. I was strong enough to control myself.
I just visited my client today at Sony BMG Music @ Great Eastern Mall Ampang. She told me "If you see a lot of girls walking around with Zara branded clothes, you would know why...coz they'r having this BIG sale" So, women - ladies - girls...can you guys control yourself or do you just plunge yourself into the SALE "MODE" and buy all sorts of things and over spend?
---------------------------------------
What i'm trying to tell you here is that, if you'r having all these problems and you'r trying your best to save money. Yes, of course the best thing to do is to put the money into your bank account, but hey - you have an ATM card which permits you to take out money from any ATM machines (that could be found almost anywhere).
So, what other choices do you have? Certainly you'd take out your cash when you need them to shop when there's a "SALE", but can you control your expenditure?
---------------------------------------
My tip for the day is...
I have several bank accounts, in different banks such as RHB, Maybank, BCB, Hong Leong Bank, and UOB.
If you notice, the only local banks are: RHB, Maybank, BCB and Hong Leong Bank.
Of which these are the banks with ATM machines almost everywhere and are using the "MEPS" system which allows you to withdraw money from different ATM machines.
The point here is, i opened an account at "UNITED OVERSEAS BANK" - UOB Bank. They only have 2 branches here in KL, one at Central Market area and another one at Jln Raja Chulan (KL). Although the bank provide you with the ATM card, they don't accept "MEPS" system as it's an international bank and uses "PLUS" system instead.
The trick behind this is that "PLUS" is an international system where you can withdraw your money from any ATM machines in the world, but there will be a service charge of "RM 10".
Now, ask yourself this question...would you withdraw money and spend another RM10 on top of that for "SERVICE CHARGE".
NO...(for me la).
Therefore, if you see something nice in Zara, MNG, Giordano or any shopping malls and you forgot to take out cash. But the "DESIRE" to buy that shirt / pants is there and you REALLY want to buy it. But hey, you don't have cash with you! And you'd think "OMG, If i were to take out 200 bux from my UOB bank account and there'll be a service charge of RM 10, that's so MUCH".
So, you might end up not buying that shirt / pants and you'd continue going around the mall without purchasing something expensive. Basically you would be living off what you have in your wallet on that day.
Of course, you can withdraw money from your UOB bank account, its just that you won't withdraw as much as your RHB or Maybank.
Basically, what i do is...i use RHB as account for all my expenditures. I also use Maybank and RHB for my online transactions. Hong Leong Bank is purely savings and i dont carry the card arround. And UOB is for emergency cash...
Since i started on this, i have saved up so much money and spent so much lesser.
But i did apply for a Visa card from UOB and woohoo...let the SWIPES begin!
Hahah...no la, i just use it to swipe sometimes if i forgot to take out cash.
I know, it might not work for you girls... with the Visa card, you might just swipe your way to BANKRUPTCY!
Cheers...
PS: Picture above is of a "DRIVE THRU" UOB Bank ATM Machine. Cool huh...

The following entry is intended to be a continuation of "Crazystrat Caught by Astro Security".
William aka Crazystrat said that there's no Security in the carpark. Of course the quards are not there, i just had to make a twist in the story so that it sounds "BETTER" and add more "UMMPHH" in the story !! Mwhahaha...
By the way, you go it wrong anyways...The Astro Security CCTV Surveillance Cameras are all over the place. There's quite a lot of the cameras in the car park. I've been in the Security Control Room and they've shown me the cameras specifically located in the car park.
Here are the security features:
1. The gates surrounding the Astro Carpark and the entire facility has:
"Movement Sensors" - If someone moves in the carpark the camera will follow them.
"Vibration Sensors" - If the fences vibrate, the camera will turn over to the part of the fence that vibrated.
"Heat Sensors" - Yes they have this too...
If you think that Astro Security is not that "Hi-Tech"...you'r wrong... :P
HA ha HA Ha ... They're watching you...
You never know, they might be able to take some of those *PRICELESS* pictures of you trying to break into your own car :P
